Dr. Phyl (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Transpersonal Life Coach who has numerous years of experience with adults, adolescents, children, and their families, as well as over 10 years of teaching and Clinical Consulting experience. Dr. Phyl specializes in helping clients unlock deep-rooted trauma through a variety of therapeutic modalities.

Dr. Phyl believes therapy is about change; facilitated by focusing on an individual's strengths. I take a non-judgmental, empathetic approach to the therapeutic relationship and believe in the mind-body-spirit connection in relation to mental health and wellness. I utilize a myriad of counseling modalities both traditional and Transpersonal-including Intuitive therapy, hypnosis, Jungian dreamwork analysis, and Jungian Sandplay Therapy. I obtained my Clinical Supervisor Certification in 2014 and offer quality, meaningful clinical supervision. I am a Reiki, Acupressure, and Healing Arts practitioner.

Dr. Phyl is a motivational and inspirational public speaker. Dr. Phyl has been featured in People Magazine, ABC, CBS, and NBC News as well as NPR, The New York Times, Self, Slate, and VOX.

I have completed a doctoral degree in Integral and Transpersonal Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies.

I am a warm and caring counselor, I connect with clients in a safe and effective way that facilitates change and healing. My specialties include Trauma and PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, Relationship, Family Conflict, and Parenting and Co-Parenting Divorce and Custody Issues. Child and Adolescent Issues include Improved Coping and Social Skills, Anxiety and School Behavior, and School Performance Issues.

CAROLINE ROYAL

Caroline (she/her/hers) believes that everyone deserves a safe, nurturing, therapeutic space to work through life’s challenges. She is a Licensed Associate Counselor who is passionate about supporting individuals who wish to overcome hardships and make meaningful progress. Caroline strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and contemplative environment for clients to explore and heal. She works with children, adolescents, and young adults struggling to manage the stress of daily life and those experiencing challenges stemming from trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions. Caroline has specialized training in Sandplay and EMDR therapies.  

Caroline utilizes an integrative, evidence-based, and individualized approach to treatment and incorporate Sandplay Therapy and EMDR in sessions to help clients achieve insight and find relief from trauma memories. She also believes that all clients bring their own unique and essential skills to the therapeutic process. 

While working with clients, she helps to support the processing of and healing from past suffering, to identify restorative coping strategies, and to achieve personal expansion. She is committed to meeting my clients where they are and feels privileged to be a part of their journeys toward self-discovery.
